Two 16-year-old girls were killed following a fatal two-vehicle traffic collision in Lucerne Valley on Friday night, April 8, 2022.

The two girls were in the backseat, driven by one of the girls’ grandmothers, when their vehicle suddenly crashed into another car for unclear reasons.

The two girls were unfortunately killed in the accident. They were identified as Kristy K. and Kayden D.

Three people, including the two drivers, were injured in the mishap. The victim’s grandmother and the other driver were airlifted to an area hospital.

Meanwhile, the third patient was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. The identities of the other involved parties have not been disclosed.

An active investigation of the collision is currently underway.
