[04-08-2022] San Mateo County, CA - One Person Killed, Another Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Near Crystal Springs Reservoir
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 92 near Crystal Springs Reservoir on Friday afternoon, April 8, 2022.

The collision was reported just before 4:30 p.m. west of Interstate 280.

According to the CHP, a red 2017 Honda Accord was eastbound on Highway 92 when it veered into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a gray 2002 BMW.

The BMW driver, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Honda driver, a woman in her 20s, was taken to Stanford Health Care with major injuries.

The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office will disclose the man’s identity once confirmed and his next of kin has been notified.

According to the CHP, it’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.

Highway 92 was closed for an investigation from Interstate 280 to Skyline Boulevard.
