This year has seen an increase in car accidents in the United States. Car accidents claim the lives of an estimated 1.25 million people each year. More than 3,287 deadly crashes occur every day. Meanwhile, around 20 to 50 million individuals were injured or disabled.

California is responsible for 11% of all U.S. car deaths. At least 3,898 people died, and 276,823 were injured in California’s 485,866 car accidents in 2017. The death toll from traffic accidents has risen by 23.5% since 2013.

In 2018, the number of people killed in car accidents in California was nine per 100,000. Automobile collisions are the leading cause of unintentional injury deaths in this state.

Driver error is the primary cause of collisions. Accidents can be avoided if you pay attention to the road, drive safely, and keep your vehicle in good condition.

Don’t apologize or admit that you ran a red light or violated the right of way when approaching other drivers. If you do, you may be admitting that you are responsible for the incident. After an accident, the best thing to do is to stay calm and ask for the other driver’s information, such as their name and contact number.
