[04-12-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Person Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash Near Friant Road

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in northeast Fresno late Tuesday night, April 12, 2022.

According to CHP officers, the pedestrian was crossing the southbound lanes when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The victim was thrown into the center median as a result of the collision.

His name has not been released because he died at the scene.

The 19-year-old driver and his 17-year-old passenger escaped injury in the accident. They’re both working with the CHP.

According to the investigators, drugs or alcohol are not believed to have played a role.
