[04-12-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Man Killed After Hit-And-Run Crash on I-15 in Cajon Pass

A male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Cajon Pass, San Bernardino County, early Wednesday morning, April 12, 2023.

California Highway Patrol officers received calls regarding a crash at around 12:32 a.m. about a half mile south on the northbound side of Interstate 15.

When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian victim lying unresponsive in the traffic lanes and declared him dead at the scene.

Some drivers stopped at the scene, talked to officers, and later discovered that the vehicles that initially hit the pedestrian had fled.

After a brief search, CHP found a driver at Circle K on Ranchero Road next to the freeway with damage and blood on the vehicle.

At the time, this was the only vehicle they found. The pedestrian’s identity remains unknown.

The authorities still need to release further information about the accident.
