Two men were injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision on Newmark Avenue on Wednesday afternoon, April 13, 2022.
According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Newmark Avenue and Highway 180 at around 3:45 p.m.
An eastbound vehicle was traveling on Highway 108 when an oncoming westbound SUV turned to head northbound on Newmark Avenue. The two vehicles then collided.
Due to the severity of the impact, the SUV flipped over, and two people inside the SUV were ejected from the vehicle.
One ejected person was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, another person sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Information about the crash is limited at the moment. Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the accident.
Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the crash.
