Nine people were hurt following a traffic collision involving a bus in Rohnert Park on Wednesday morning, April 13, 2022.
The accident transpired at approximately 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Rohnert Park Expressway and Commerce Boulevard.
A pickup truck and a Sonoma County Transit bus collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances. At least 14 to 16 people were inside the bus at the time of the accident.
Two people inside the bus, including the driver, sustained minor to moderate injuries and were taken to an area hospital. Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver was seriously injured and rushed to an area hospital.
Six other parties were evaluated and treated at the scene by paramedics. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
An active investigation of the collision is currently underway.
