[04-14-2022] Yolo County, CA - 33-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on County Road 97According to a press release from the California Highway Patrol Woodland division, a 33-year-old Sacramento resident was killed in a crash in Yolo County late Thursday night, April 14, 2022.

The fatal crash occurred just after 11:00 p.m. on County Road 97 in Yolo County.

A 25-year-old Woodland resident was driving northbound on County Road 97 in a 2021 Chevrolet Impala when it collided with a 2015 Honda Civic driven westbound on State Route 16 by a Sacramento resident.

The Honda Civic collided with a power pole on the intersection’s northwest corner following the collision.

According to the CHP, the Impala collided with a utility box before rolling onto its roof.

The Impala’s driver was taken to UC Davis Medical Center with serious injuries.

According to preliminary findings, drugs or alcohol were not a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
