[04-16-2022] Kern County, CA – One Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on White Lane

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on White Lane on Saturday night, April 16, 2022.

According to the police, they received reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Officers arrived to find a man on the road with serious injuries.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver in question, a man, is cooperating with authorities.

According to BPD, alcohol or drugs do not appear to have played a role in the crash.

Prior to the crash, the man ran across White Lane outside of a crosswalk, according to investigators.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office will release the name of the man who was struck and killed at a later date.

The crash remains under investigation.
