[04-17-2022] San Diego County, CA - One Person Killed in a Fatal East County Motorcycle CrashOne unidentified person was killed following a deadly motorcycle crash in East County on Sunday afternoon, April 17, 2022.

The deadly collision transpired at approximately 3:40 p.m. in the area of Winter Gardens Boulevard, near Sapota Drive.

A 2008 Chevrolet Blazer SUV collided with a motorcycle on the roadway for unclear reasons. The motorcycle was totaled following the crash and had to be removed by a tow truck.

Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider was killed in the accident. No other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

An active investigation of the crash is currently underway.
