[04-18-2022] San Diego County, CA – One Person Killed After Getting Hit by Three Vehicles in El Cajon

An unidentified man was killed after a major pedestrian crash in El Cajon on Monday night, April 18, 2022.

The accident happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. on the Interstate 8 Freeway in the El Cajon area.

The man was wandering in the traffic lanes of Interstate 7 when he was struck by a Kia Optima, a Dodge Charger, and a third vehicle.

The Kia driver and the Dodge driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Meanwhile, the third vehicle did not stop to help the pedestrian and drove away from the scene.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian was killed in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed.
