[04-18-2023] One Male Rider Killed After Motorcycle vs. Car Collision in San JoseOne male rider died after a collision involving a motorcycle and a car at Mission Street in San Jose Tuesday afternoon, April 18, 2023.

According to the San Jose Police Department, their officers responded to the collision between a 2018 Harley Davidson and a 2020 Ford SUV on N. 11th Street and Mission Street at around 4:17 p.m.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on N. 11th Street when he struck a 2020 Ford SUV driven by a female driver traveling westbound on Mission Street.

The helmeted motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle due to the collision and taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Later, the motorcycle driver died from his injuries.

This accident marks the eighth traffic fatality of 2023 and the seventh fatal collision.

The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office will inform the victim’s family before disclosing his identity.
