[04-23-2022] El Dorado County, CA - One Person Killed After a Deadly DUI Crash in PlacervilleA 60-year-old woman identified as Lori H. was killed following a deadly traffic crash involving a DUI driver in Placerville on Saturday evening, April 23, 2022.

The fatal accident transpired at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Highway 50 near Broadway Drive in Placerville.

The victim was a passenger in a motorcycle when it collided with an oncoming Jeep driven by 47-year-old Aaron F.

Unfortunately, the 60-year-old passenger was killed in the mishap. Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider sustained critical injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The Jeep driver is facing charges of DUI, causing great bodily injury, and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on $175,000 bail.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
