[04-24-2022] Sonoma County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Bodega Bay

The driver that was killed following a fatal head-on crash in Bodega Bay on April 24, 2022 has been identified by authorities.

No arrests have been made at the moment. Information about the crash is still limited. The accident is still under further investigation.

According to a press release from the California Highway Patrol, one driver died, and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Bodega Bay late Sunday, April 24, 2022.

The fatal accident occurred at 10:14 p.m. on State Road 1 in Bodega Bay, west of Estero Lane.

The press release stated that medical personnel and CHP arrived on the scene.

One driver was pronounced dead, and another was rescued with serious injuries.

According to a preliminary investigation, a Toyota Tacoma driven by a male driver was traveling northbound on SR-1.
A BMW 325XI was also driven by a single male driver on SR-1 southbound.

The Toyota crashed into the southbound lanes after crossing over double yellow lines for reasons the CHP is still investigating.

The DMV driver was killed, while the Toyota driver was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital by helicopter.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the victim’s family.
