Three people were hurt after a major head-on traffic collision in Redding on Monday evening, April 25, 2022.

A Toyota Tacoma veered into the opposite lanes for unclear reasons and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevy Camaro.

Two people inside the white Tacoma were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by authorities. They sustained major injuries.

The female Camaro driver was also seriously injured in the crash. All three injured patients were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident. An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
