[04-25-2023] Riverside County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Severely Injured After Reckless Driving Accident in San Jacinto

One person was killed, and another was severely injured after a reckless driving accident in San Jacinto on Tuesday midnight, April 25, 2023.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Soboba Road and Lake Park Drive at 2:18 a.m.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a green Jeep Cherokee severely damaged from the collision. During the rollover, the unrestrained occupants were ejected from the vehicle. They were located several feet away.

Cal-Fire and AMR initiated life-saving measures on both occupants. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The San Jacinto Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and took over the investigation.

The accident scene contained evidence indicating that the vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed before it lost control and veered off the roadway. The vehicle collided with a utility pole and rolled over multiple times.

Both subjects’ identities are being withheld pending notifications.
