[04-26-2023] One Pedestrian Severely Injured After Being Struck by Amtrak Train in CamarilloA man was severely injured after being struck by an Amtrak Train in Camarillo, Ventura County, on Wednesday morning, April 26, 2023.

According to the Ventura County Fire Department, the incident occurred around 11:10 a.m. near Pleasant Valley Road and Fifth Street.

As per the report, the man was walking on the tracks when he was hit. The pedestrian was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Information was unavailable on the train’s direction of travel or whether there were passengers aboard.

The investigation is ongoing.
