[04-27-2022] Fresno County, CA - 76-Year-Old Pedestrian Woman Fatally Hit and Killed by Vehicle in Central FresnoAccording to the police, a pedestrian was hit and killed by a driver Wednesday morning, April 27, 2022 in Fresno High School.

According to the officials, the victim, a 76-year-old Abelina G. was struck at 7:45 am while crossing McKinley Avenue near Harrison Avenue, down the street from Fresno High School.

The driver claimed he didn’t see the victim, who was dragged behind the vehicle.

According to investigators, Garcia was not in the crosswalk.

Officials say the driver is cooperating with the police. Officers do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.

For several hours, police closed down a section of McKinley Avenue as part of their investigation.
