According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a 29-year-old Victorville man died after a hit-and-run collision with an SUV in Adelanto on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the fatal crash occurred at 8:11 p.m. at the intersection of Palmdale Road and Pearmain Street.
Leejon T., a 34-year-old Adelanto resident, was driving a silver 2014 Dodge Durango when he turned onto Palmdale Road in front of the motorcyclist, who was riding a 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Bob and has not been identified.
The motorcyclist was taken to Victor Valley Hospital after the collision and was pronounced dead at 8:55 p.m. due to injuries sustained in the collision.
Tolliver fled the scene of the accident, according to police, but he was apprehended just over half an hour later, according to jail records.
He’s being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bail on a hit-and-run charge, and jail records show he’s also being held in lieu of $50,000 bail on charges of driving while intoxicated and child abuse.
