The crash occurred at 3:51 p.m. in the 14900 block of Via De La Valle.

According to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims, the victim was driving a 1999 blue Mazda Miata convertible eastbound.

He drove into the two-way center lane and passed in front of a silver 2022 Chevrolet Volt EV driven by a 16-year-old girl heading westbound.

Both drivers attempted to avoid a collision by veering into the westbound lane, but Heims said they collided head-on.

After suffering several other fractures, the Mazda driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Despite the fact that the Chevrolet driver complained of pain, he was not taken to the hospital.

The crash was not caused by drugs or alcohol, according to Heims.

The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating the crash.

San Diego County Car Accident Lawyers

Some people prefer to handle personal injury claims on their own rather than hire a lawyer. But it is important to be aware of the potential risks. Without legal representation, injury victims receive lower settlements than those who have legal representation.

Accidents involving multiple vehicles are more difficult to resolve than accidents involving only two vehicles. Victims may find it difficult to deal with a multi-vehicle crash lawsuit because of the pain and suffering they have endured since the accident.
