[04-27-2023] One Dead and Two Injured After a Multi-Vehicle Collision in LancasterA man died, and at least two others have suffered injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in Lancaster Thursday at midnight, April 27, 2023.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a collision on Avenue J at 40th Street West around 12:30 a.m.

A man driving a Dodge Journey at a high-speed rate crashed into the rear of a Ford F-450 Spectrum that had stopped at a red light. It caused the Dodge to overturn and crash into another car.

The driver of the Dodge died at the scene, while the drivers of the Ford and the car sustained minor injuries. The authorities have withheld their identities until their next of kin is notified.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in this.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
