[04-27-2023] Rider Killed In Collision With Car On Fruitridge RoadA motorcyclist was killed in a tragic crash in Sacramento City on Thursday morning, April 26, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol South Sacramento station, the accident happened around 7 a.m. along Fruitridge Road and Nona Way.

The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Fruitridge Road when a car turned left and struck the rider. According to the initial report, the rider’s helmet came off during the crash, and was thrown 20 feet from the point of the crash.

The Sacramento Fire Department has identified the rider as a male in his 20s. The car driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Officials said that drugs or alcohol were not a factor in this incident.

The investigation into the crash continues.
