[04-28-2022] One Dead on High Speed Two-Vehicle Crash in BurbankThe authorities identified, Alex Ghazarian, 19, that was killed when the car he was driving struck another vehicle and a fence just north of the Metrolink Station on Front Street on Thursday, April 28.

According to preliminary investigation, speeding was most likely a contributing factor in the collision. At this time, it’s unclear whether drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both played a role in the accident.

According to the authorities, a traffic accident involving two-vehicles killed one person and injured another one on Front Street Thursday, April 28, 2022.

The Police and a full Fire Department rescue response were dispatched around 12:30 p.m. to Front Street between the Magnolia Overpass and Burbank Blvd.

According to Burbank Police Department Sergeant Brent Fekety, when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered one male with significant injuries seated in the driver’s seat of a blue-colored sedan.

Attempts were made to extract the male driver and render aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other passengers in his vehicle.

Paramedics at the scene also treated a female driver of a white SUV and transported her to a trauma center for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police. There were no other passengers in both vehicles.

During the rescue, firefighters had to deal with a potential fuel leak on the scene. A power pole and a fence were both damaged, so the Burbank Water and Power Department and Metrolink were contacted.

According to the police at the scene, the witnesses stated that the blue sedan was driving at a high rate of speed before the collision.

It’s unclear whether this collision was caused by drugs, alcohol, or a combination of the two. Initially, it appears that unsafe speed was a contributing factor in the collision.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office is assisting the Burbank Police Department in identifying the deceased and notifying the next of kin.
