According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Palms late Thursday, April 28, 2022.

A Kia Soul driver was driving east on Palms Boulevard and Vinton Avenue when it collided with a man who was crossing the street.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department treated the victim, who died at the scene, according to police.

His identity was not revealed right away.

According to police, the driver of the Kia Soul remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the investigation.

Alcohol or drugs were reportedly not a factor.
