The 33-year-old motorcycle rider that was killed in a fatal traffic crash near Peg Leg Road has been identified.

[04-28-2022] Mariposa County, CA - 33-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Fatal Crash Near Peg Leg RoadThe victim was identified as 33-year-old Dillon C. Dillon was ejected from his motorcycle after colliding with a Toyota. He sustained fatal injuries from the impact and died at the scene.

No arrests have been made at the moment but authorities believe that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

Local authorities are still investigating the case.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Mariposa County Thursday, April 28, 2022.

It happened around 2:40 p.m. on Highway 49 near Peg Leg Road.

According to investigators, the 33-year-old motorcycle rider was allegedly passing vehicles at a high rate of speed on northbound Highway 49 when he collided with a Toyota that was preparing to make a left turn on a private road.

The rider was thrown from the bike after colliding with the right side of the car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP has not yet disclosed his name but confirmed that he was from Oakhurst.

According to officers, drugs or alcohol are not believed to have played a role in the crash.
