[04-28-2023] One killed, Another Critically Injured After Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash in FremontA motorcyclist died, and another was hospitalized in a hit-and-run collision in Fremont on Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2023.

The Fremont Police Department received calls reporting a collision between a car and a motorbike between Blacow Road and Hilo Street around 8:19 p.m.

Witnesses said that the involved car fled the scene after the crash.

Two individuals were discovered on the road by police and emergency responders. One was declared dead, and the other was sent to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.

The car was traveling southbound on Blacow Road when the tragic crash occurred.

Fremont police located the suspect’s vehicle and the driver near the intersection of Grimmer Boulevard and Blacow Road, based on witnesses’ descriptions. The driver was taken into custody.

The authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
