The accident transpired at approximately 2:49 p.m. on Fair Oaks Boulevard and Wedgewood Avenue in Carmichael.
A red Toyota Prius and a white Honda sedan collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. One of the vehicles then crashed into a power pole following the accident.
