[04-30-2023] Butte County, CA – Pedestrian Accident in Chico Leaves Man With Minor to Moderate Injuries

A 40-year-old man was injured after a pedestrian accident in Chico late Sunday night, April 30, 2023.

According to Sgt. Nickelson from the Chico Police Department, the driver of the compact car, a 40-year-old female, struck the pedestrian at about 10:12 p.m. in a dark area at the 2100 block of Nord Ave., close to the Royal Palms Mobile Home Park.

He sustained minor to moderate injuries and was taken to Enloe Medical Center. The driver did not sustain injuries and stayed at the scene to speak with police.

Chico Police claimed that DUI was not a factor in the crash.

The investigation of the accident is still ongoing.
