[05-02-2023] One Person Killed Following Truck Collision Along 5 FreewayOne person was killed following a truck collision along the 5 Freeway, South Orange County, early Tuesday morning, May 02, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around 5:16 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Junipero Serra Road.

A car and a semi-truck were reportedly involved in the collision. One person, whose identity remains undisclosed, was declared dead at the scene.

The number of people involved and the extent of possible injuries are currently unknown. An investigation is currently underway.
