[05-03-2022] One Person Killed Following a Suspected DUI Crash in UplandOne unidentified person was killed after a deadly traffic crash involving a suspected DUI driver in Upland on Tuesday night, May 3, 2022.

The accident happened on Campus Avenue, just south of Foothill Boulevard in Upland, at around 11:43 p.m.

One vehicle was traveling at high speeds on Campus Avenue and collided with another vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver of the second vehicle was killed in the mishap.

The driver of the speeding vehicle was identified as 29-year-old Marcos E. Authorities determined that he was under the influence at the time of the accident.

Maroc was arrested for DUI-related charges and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. The identity of the other driver has not been disclosed.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
