[05-04-2023] Four People Hospitalized After Gas Leak in WilmingtonFour people were hospitalized after a gas leak in a refinery in Wilmington, Los Angeles, on Thursday, May 04, 2023.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that the hazmat incident occurred in the morning inside the Marathon plant, close to 2101 E. Pacific Coast Highway.

Four workers were hospitalized, and several more were exposed to butane and hydrogen sulfide leaks.

A 40-year-old worker is currently in critical condition, while the other three are in moderate condition.

The authorities are investigating the leak’s cause and have not released any further details.
