[05-04-2023] 49-Year-Old Pedestrian Severely Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in OxnardA 49-year-old pedestrian was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle in Oxnard on Thursday afternoon, May 04, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:13 p.m. along the southbound 101 Freeway near Rose Avenue.

The pedestrian, Javier D., climbed a concrete center divider before being struck by the 63-year-old Chevrolet truck driver.

Dominguez sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital. His current condition is currently unknown.

It is still unclear what the motives of the victim were beforehand. The driver cooperated with ongoing investigations by the authorities.
