[05-05-2022] One Person Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in IndioA two-vehicle collision in Indio left one person with major injuries on Thursday, May 5.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the accident happened around 12:20 p.m. in the 81000 block of Highway 111.

According to fire officials, two people were trapped in the vehicles and had to be physically pulled from the wreckage.

The fire officials further stated that one of them was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

There were no further details available at the time, including the condition of the other trapped person.

The Indio Police Department is still investigating the cause of the crash.
