[05-06-2023] Fresno County, CA – Two People Injured Following Suspected Multi-Vehicle DUI Collision Along Highway 99

Two people were injured following a suspected multi-vehicle DUI collisionTwo people were injured following a suspected multi-vehicle DUI collision along Highway 99, Southwest Fresno County, early Saturday morning, May 06, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3:00 a.m. along northbound Highway 99 near Highway 180.

A 28-year-old driver aboard a Honda hit the back of a truck and was stalled within the lane. While a tow truck moved the Honda out of the way, a motorcyclist struck both vehicles.

Both the Honda driver and the motorcyclist sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The motorcyclist is currently suspected of DUI, but authorities have yet to release further information about the collision.
