A 25-year-old woman identified as Mariah B. was killed after a deadly two-vehicle crash in Covina on Saturday morning, May 7, 2022.

[05-07-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Woman Killed Following a Deadly Traffic Crash in CovinaThe fatal collision occurred on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Holt Avenue in Covina at approximately 1:23 a.m.

A westbound 2006 Saturn Vue was traveling on the freeway when the driver lost control of their vehicle for unclear reasons and crashed into a 2018 Honda Accord.

Due to the severity of the impact, the Saturn Vue overturned and ejected a passenger in the process. The passenger that was ejected as the 25-year-old woman was rushed to Pomona Valley Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The other driver only sustained minor injuries and was not hospitalized. Alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
