Several people were injured following a traffic crash involving a suspected DUI driver in Hesperia on Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2022.

A reckless driver was traveling on the roadway and crashed into several vehicles. The number of vehicles involved is unclear.

Several people were injured, and they were all treated for minor injuries. The identities of the injured parties have not been disclosed.

The reckless driver was later identified as Michael H. authorities determined that he was under the influence at the time of the crash.

He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for VC23153(G) Driving under the influence causing injury, VC20001(A) Hit and Run with Injuries, and VC20002(A) Hit and Run with Property Damage.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
