[05-07-2023] 29-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in HaywardA bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Hayward on Sunday evening, May 7, 2023.

According to the Hayward Police Department, the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. near Tennyson Road, east of the Interstate 880 offramp.

Authorities claimed that the bicyclist died at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision. The driver, a 27-year-old man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, and an investigation is still underway.
