According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the authorities were called to the scene at 1:05 a.m. in the 500 block of North Harbor Boulevard after receiving reports of the fatal crash.

Orange County Fire Authority’s paramedics found the pedestrian on the roadway and proclaimed them dead at the scene.

The pedestrian was reportedly crossing Harbor Boulevard when they got hit by the vehicle traveling southbound on Harbor.

The driver cooperated with the officers, and the vehicle remained at the scene.

Police officers believe alcohol is not one of the factors leading to the accident. The investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
