[05-08-2022] 21-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal-DUI Crash on Highway 4According to a statement from California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Adam Lane, a 21-year-old man died after a DUI crash on Highway 4 on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

The fatal crash occurred around 11:50 p.m. in the eastbound direction near state Highway 160.

According to the CHP, the man was a front-seat passenger in a blue Chrysler PT Cruiser when the accident happened.

According to the CHP, the car lost control without warning and veered to the right, off the highway.

The man was taken to a hospital by ambulance and died there.

According to the CHP, the 42-year-old woman driving the PT Cruiser was arrested on suspicion of DUI and is still in the hospital with critical life-threatening injuries.

According to the CHP, three other passengers, two of whom were under the age of 18, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
