One man was killed while two women were injured following a deadly multi-vehicle crash in Heber on early Sunday morning, May 8, 2022.
According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 11 near Heber.
A red sedan was traveling on Highway 111 when he veered into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a white vehicle.
The white vehicle was then struck by another vehicle following the initial collision. It’sIt’s unclear why the red sedan drove into the opposite lanes.
Unfortunately, the red sedan driver was killed in the accident. He was identified as 89-year-old Gregorio G.
Meanwhile, two women were injured in the mishap. A passenger in the red sedan, identified as 84-year-old Elena G., sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old female driver of the white vehicle was also injured and taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. She was identified as Ashley C.
Local authorities are further investigating the possible factors that affected the crash.
