According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a pedestrian was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash in East Bakersfield on Sunday night, May 8, 2022.
The fatal crash occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of East California Avenue and Baker Street.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to investigators.
According to BPD, the driver did not stop and was last seen driving north on Baker Street.
There are no other details available.
The crash remains under investigation.
