According to the Soledad Police Department, the crash happened around morning between North Street and Soledad Street.

The teenager was eastbound on his skateboard on the way to school when an SUV struck him.

The driver called 911 immediately, and the victim was transported quickly to a hospital.

The teenager is currently recovering, and the authorities consider the crash an accident.
