[05-08-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – High-Speed Motorcycle vs. Car Crash on I-15 Leaves One Rider Injured

One male rider was injured after a high-speed motorcycle vs. car crash on Interstate 15, San Bernardino County, on Monday afternoon, May 08, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after Sierra Avenue in the northbound lanes at 2:47 p.m.

An investigation by the authorities revealed that two riders had been speeding and swerving in and out of lanes of traffic just before the crash. On I-15’s northbound lanes, a black and a yellow street bike were reportedly heading north when an unidentified sedan struck the yellow bike at high speed.

The rider of the black bike, who wasn’t hit in the crash, stopped to check on his friend. The rider of the yellow bike got ejected and was lying down in the fast lane. Rescue personnel responded and took the rider to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.

The driver of the sedan stopped at the scene and was unharmed.

Authorities claimed that the crash appeared to be caused by speeding. The CHP Inland Division is yet to release more details regarding the crash.
