According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 3:35 p.m. between Carlton Road and Thompson Road.

The female driver lost control of her 2023 Honda and struck a big rig traveling northbound on Carlton Road.

The victim succumbed to her injuries, while no other injuries were confirmed yet.

The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
