An unidentified 65-year-old man was killed following a deadly hit-and-run crash in Madera County on Tuesday morning, May 10, 2022.

[05-10-2022] Madera County, CA - Motorcycle Rider Killed After a Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash on Avenue 9 and Highway 99According to the initial reports from local authorities, the deadly crash occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Avenue 9 and Highway 99.

The 65-year-old man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Avenue 9 when a white sedan pulled directly in front of him from Highway 99.

The rider hit the brakes and swerved right, but he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected. He sustained major injuries in the mishap and was rushed to an area hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the white sedan did not stop to render aid and drove away from the scene. He was last seen heading eastbound on Avenue 9.

Local authorities are further investigating the case. Witnesses are encouraged to contact Officer Javier Ruvalcaba at (559) 675-1025 if they can provide any information on the identity and the whereabouts of the white sedan driver.
