According to the Union City Police Department, the crash happened at the Union City Boulevard and Horner Street intersection in the Alvarado District shortly after 2:00 p.m.

The bicyclist’s identity was unknown, and an ambulance took him to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported, and the crash’s cause is under investigation.

The vehicle driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The authorities have not yet released any further information.
