A motorcyclist died[05-11-2023] Motorcyclist Fatally Struck After DUI Crash in Lancaster in a DUI crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Lancaster on Thursday evening, May 11, 2023.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue K at Sixth Street East.

According to the report, the motorcyclist, whose identity is still unknown, was heading eastbound on Avenue K when a left turn made by the driver of the Lincoln Zephyr from westbound Avenue K led to the tragic incident. Regrettably, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The involvement of the motorcyclist’s speed in the crash is uncertain. However, the driver of the Lincoln Zephyr was found to be driving under the influence and was subsequently arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

The investigation is ongoing.
