[05-11-2023] Pedestrian Killed After Hit-And-Run Collision in PalmdaleA pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run collision in Palmdale late Thursday night, May 11, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a collision was reported at around 11:19 p.m. at 20th Street and West Avenue N in Palmdale, where they discovered the victim in the street.

According to witnesses, the vehicle, a Honda Civic with a missing front bumper, drove away after striking the pedestrian. The victim was declared dead on the spot, according to authorities.

The victim’s identity has not yet been disclosed, pending notification of next of kin.

The authorities have provided no further information. The investigation is still underway.
