[05-12-2023] Pedestrian Possibly Injured After Train Accident in GlendaleA pedestrian was struck by a Metrolink train in Glendale on Friday late afternoon, May 12, 2023.

According to Metrolink Trains, the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. east of the Los Angeles River and on the border of Atwater Village, close to West San Fernando Rd. and Electronics Place.

The victim’s identity is unknown, and whether or not they sustained any injuries in the crash was unclear. Also, there were no reports of injuries aboard the train at the time.

The authorities closed the tracks between Glendale and downtown Burbank on Friday.

Spokespersons for Glendale Police and Fire Departments were not available to give comments. Investigations into the accident are still ongoing.
