[05-13-2023] San Diego County, CA – Elderly Male Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in El Cajon

A male pedestrian believed to be in his 70s to 80s was struck and killed by a vehicle in El Cajon late Saturday evening, May 13, 2023.

The crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Main Street, according to the El Cajon Police Department.

Authorities stated that they discovered the man lying on the road and declared him dead at the scene. A driver of a 2002 black Acura remained at the scene and cooperated.

Alcohol or drugs are not thought to have played a role in the crash at this time in the investigation, officials said.
